Cleveland Indians -- Recalled IF Herbert Perry from Triple-A Charlotte. Optioned IF Mark Lewis to Charlotte. Extended player development contracts with Double-A Canton-Akron and Single-A Columbus and Kinston through the 1996 season.

Colorado Rockies -- Optioned P Darren Holmes to Triple-A Colorado Springs. Recalled P Lance Painter from Colorado Springs.

San Francisco Giants -- Placed P Rich Monteleone on the 15-day DL, retroactive to May 16. Recalled P Bill Van Landingham from Double-A Shreveport.

Seattle Mariners -- Recalled IF Torey Lovullo from Triple-A Calgary. Optioned utility player Brian Turang to Calgary. Sent P Reggie Harris outright to Calgary.

Texas Rangers -- Signed P Mike Walker to a Triple-A Oklahoma City. Signed CF Shawn Shugars and assigned him to their Gulf Coast extended spring training camp in Port Charlotte, Fla.

Portland Trail Blazers -- Senior vice president of operations Geoff Petrie announced his resignation.

San Antonio Spurs -- Announced coach John Lucas will be retained. Announced that Bob Bass resigned as vice president of basketball operations. Named Larry Alexander to oversee overall business operations on an interim basis.
