ASSAULT/ARREST: Central District -- A man was panhandling in the 1800 block of St. Paul St. Tuesday when he asked a passer-by for money. The passer-by became irritated at the panhandler's approach, pulled out a handgun and fired a shot that missed. He was arrested and charged with assault and handgun violations.

THEFT/ARREST: Central District -- Police arrested a man who attempted to leave the 7-Eleven store in the 300 block of N. Eutaw St. Tuesday without paying for ice cream.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone entered the yard of a house in the 4600 block of Sipple Ave. Tuesday and stole a Rottweiler puppy.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A young resident of the 3700 block of W. Garrison Ave. was in the 6800 block of Reisterstown Road Tuesday afternoon when two older youths robbed him of a silver chain and seven baseball cards.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police arrested a 26-year-old man and were holding him in connection with the robbery of 10 six-packs of soft drinks from an Exxon station in the 5600 block of Reisterstown Road on Tuesday. The suspect was arrested as he fled after an employee brandished a handgun.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 6600 block of Eberle Drive was in the 6800 block of Reisterstown Road Tuesday when he was attacked by five youths who struck him with their fists and robbed him of nearly $90.

BURGLARY/ARRESTS: Northern District -- Shortly after men were seen removing furniture and other property from a house in the 2500 block of Keyworth Ave. Tuesday, police received information the property was being moved to a house in Mount Washington. Armed with a search-and-seizure warrant, police entered the Mount Washington home and recovered the property and arrested two of four men who were in the house. Police also seized narcotics during the arrests. The suspects were being held at the police station pending formal charges and bail hearings before a District Court commissioner.

THEFT: Western District -- Police were seeking a 47-year-old woman who stole a fireplace, fireplace accessories and a refrigerator, all valued at more than $1,500, from a house in the 700 block of N. Gilmor St.

BURGLARY: Western District -- An air conditioner was stolen from a house in the 2200 block of Edmondson Ave. Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police arrested two men who entered a vacant city-owned house in the 1800 block of W. Baltimore St. Tuesday and stole copper tubing of unknown value.

Baltimore County

STOLEN CAR: Towson District -- A 1992 Honda Accord with Maryland tags ZXY 648 was stolen from the 1000 block of Taylor Ave. Monday.

BURGLARY: Towson District -- Someone broke a window, entered Eddie's supermarket in the 6200 block of N. Charles St. Tuesday and stole several cartons of cigarettes.
