May 17, 1994|By Kent Baker

The Bowie Baysox announced yesterday that their next homestand, Friday through May 26 will be played at the University of Maryland's Shipley Field.

It will be the fourth home site of the season for the Orioles' Double-A affiliate, which has also played host to teams at Frederick, Wilmington, Del., and the Naval Academy.

The Baysox are awaiting completion of their new stadium in Bowie.

A subsequent homestand, May 30-June 5, may also be played at Maryland, but dates are pending the progress of construction at Bowie. The public will be told by May 28 about the site for those games.

Seating will be open at Shipley Field. Admission will be $5 for adults and $3 for students, senior citizens and military personnel.
