Police investigate theft from Union Bridge home

State police are investigating a report of a break-in and theft at a house in Union Bridge.

A resident of the 100 block of Locust St. said someone entered his house between 6:30 a.m. and noon Wednesday.

He said a videocassette recorder, cordless telephone and an answering machine were stolen. He estimated the loss at $400.

FIRE

* Taneytown: Taneytown assisted Adams County, Pa., at a house fire on Lumber Street at 2:22 a.m. Saturday. Units were out for 15 minutes.

Taneytown, Harney and Union Bridge responded for a house fire on Wilson Street at 11:43 p.m. Friday. Units were out for two hours.

Taneytown and Harney investigated a fire alarm in a building in the 400 block of E. Baltimore St. at 2:18 a.m. Friday. Units were out for 31 minutes.
