C. William W. Herzog Salesman

C. William W. Herzog, a retired salesman, died Tuesday of congestive heart failure at his home in the Highfield House Condominium in Baltimore. He was 86.

He retired in 1989 from Optic Graphics, a Baltimore-area printing firm with which he had been associated since 1971.

Earlier, he had been vice president and a member of the board of the Tri-State Electric Co. and the Piney Narrows marina on the Eastern Shore, and a salesman for Slaysman & Co., a manufacturer of industrial goods.

From 1926 until 1944, he worked for Mackubin-Goodrich, a stock brokerage firm.

Born in Baltimore, he was a 1926 graduate of City College.

He was a charter member of the Center Club, a businessmen's club in Baltimore.

Graveside services were planned for noon today at All Hallows Episcopal Church Cemetery in Snow Hill.

His wife, the former Virginia Rodgers, died in 1976, and there were no close surviving relatives.
