* OFFICER ASSAULTED/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man who attempted to run over Officer Sean Ruane with a Dodge Omni in the 2000 block of Edmondson Ave. Tuesday. The man was being held at the station pending charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

* BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone broke into a CSX Railroad boxcar parked in the 3100 block of Washington Blvd. Tuesday and stole two cases of Thunderbird wine and other alcoholic beverages, all valued at $700.

* THEFT: Northern District -- A compact disc player and other property, all valued at nearly $200, were stolen from the room of a patient at the Mount Washington Pediatric Center in the 1700 block of W. Rogers Ave. over the weekend.

* THEFT: Southern District -- Equipment and tools, all valued at nearly $2,000, were stolen from a vehicle owned by Port's roofing company in the 2300 block of Cedley St. over the weekend.

* RAPE: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who forced a woman into a house in the 3500 block of Park Heights Ave. at knifepoint and raped her. The victim was treated at Mercy Medical Center.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A Diamond Cab driver was robbed of his money Tuesday night in the 4800 block of Pimlico Road by a teen-age boy armed with an unknown weapon.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 4000 block of Ann Ellen Road was in the 4100 block of Wabash Ave. Tuesday when she was robbed of cash and property, all valued

at $175, by a teen-age boy armed with a knife.


* BURGLARY: Parkville Precinct -- Property valued at several thousand dollars was stolen from a house in the 12900 block of Manor Road between May 7 and Tuesday. Taken were jewelry, mink coats and cash.

* BURGLARY: Parkville Precinct -- Someone entered Statewide builders and renovators in the 5100 block of Elder Road in Hydes last month and stole equipment and tools valued at nearly $1,000. The burglary was reported Tuesday.

* BURGLARY: Cockeysville Precinct -- Nearly 100 cartons of cigarettes, bottles of brandy and liquor, all valued at more than $1,300, were stolen from Padonia Liquors in the first block of E. Padonia Road Tuesday. Entry was gained by breaking a glass front door with a rock.
