DOUBLE SHOOTING: Southern District -- Two men were shot early Monday morning in the 1100 block of S. Howard St. As the men, one from the 2500 block of Lauretta Ave. and the other from the 3700 block of Edmondson Ave., passed by a Honda Accord, someone inside the vehicle fired several shots. Both victims were taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment of back and leg wounds. No arrest had been made.

THEFT: Northern District -- After a guest left her home in the 4500 block of Finney Ave. Sunday, the occupant discovered several pieces of jewelry, cash, two gift certificates and a pocket TV, all valued at nearly $1,500, were missing.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1990 Mitsubishi with Maryland tags YVX 844 was stolen from the 5600 block of Govans Ave. Sunday.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1993 Nissan with Pennsylvania tags WR46448 was stolen Sunday from the 100 block of St. Alban's Way.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 2400 block of Druid Hill Ave. over the weekend and stole a 20-inch TV, a 19-inch TV, VCR, cable box, telephone, clock, answering machine and clothes.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man who cut a resident of the 1300 block of N. Stricker St. under the right eye with a knife during an incident in the 1200 block of N. Gilmor St. Monday. The suspect was being held pending charges and a bail hearing.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a vacant house in the 1000 block of Franklin St. over the weekend and stole a water heater and three heating elements, all valued at more than $1,000.

Baltimore County

THEFT/ARREST: White Marsh Precinct -- Police arrested a 32-year-old city woman Monday and charged her with stealing five dresses at the Hecht Co. store in the White Marsh Mall. Charged with stealing five dresses valued at more than $500 was Mary Chandler, of the 4300 block of Belvieu Ave.

BURGLARY: Woodlawn Precinct -- Someone entered a storage locker in the basement of an apartment building in the 7200 block of Oakhaven Circle over the weekend and stole a motorized child's racer valued at $180.
