Two 13-year-old Columbia boys were arrested Friday night and charged with the attempted robbery of a pizza delivery woman, a holdup they later told police was a prank.

The youths, who were not identified because of their ages, were released to their parents, county police said.

The Dominos pizza employee, Barbara Summons, told police she was making a delivering at a residence in the 5900 block of Turnabout Lane in Harper's Choice at 9 p.m. Friday when two males approached her. Ms. Summons told police that one of the suspects, saying he was armed with a gun, threatened to shoot her unless she gave him cash.

Ms. Summons was able to escape to the apartment to which she was making her delivery and call police.

Officers arrived shortly afterward and apprehended two youths who matched the suspects' descriptions and who were identified by the victim. No gun was found, police said.
