Boston Red Sox -- Purchased contract of P Todd Frohwirth from Triple-A Pawtucket.

Cleveland Indians -- Purchased the contract of P Chad Ogea and recalled IF Herbert Perry from Triple-A Charlotte. Optioned P Matt Turner to Charlotte and designated P Russ Swan for assignment.

Minnesota Twins -- Activated OF Shane Mack from the 15-day disabled list. Designated P Keith Garagozzo for assignment.

New York Yankees -- Placed P Steve Howe on the 15-day disabled list. Recalled P Sterling Hitchcock from Triple-A Columbus.

Philadelphia Phillies -- Placed SS Kevin Stocker on the 15-day disabled list. Called up IF Tom Quinlan from Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre. Placed P Norm Charlton on the 60-day disabled list, retroactive to April 4.
