May 02, 1994

County police were attempting to identify a bicyclist who was killed when she was struck by a car early yesterday.

The woman was riding a blue Huffy bike north in the fast lane of Ritchie Highway south of Guilford Road when she was struck about 12:45 a.m., police said.

The driver of the car, Brian Michael Dulany, 21, of the 1200 block Lorene Drive in Pasadena, tried to stop, but struck the cyclist, killing her instantly, police said.

Mr. Dulany was treated at North Arundel Hospital for burns he received from the vehicle's air bag and was released, police said. They said they do not expect to charge Mr. Dulany.

Police described the victim as white, about 20 years old, of medium height and with a stocky build, and dressed in a black Orioles T-shirt and blue cotton shorts.
