* DRIVE-BY SHOOTING: Southeastern District -- A 23-year-old man was hit by gunfire that came from a passing car as he stood at a bus stop in the 900 block of E. Lombard St. shortly before midnight Saturday. The man heard the shots, felt a stinging sensation in his leg and fell to the ground with a gunshot wound in his upper left thigh. He was taken to the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was treated and released.

* STOLEN AUTO: Southeastern District -- A 1986 tan four-door Mazda was stolen yesterday between midnight and 5:30 a.m. from the 3100 block of E. Pratt St.

* STOLEN AUTO: Northwestern District -- A 1992 Infiniti was taken from the 2900 block of Fallstaff Road yesterday about 3 a.m.

* ARMED ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A 33-year-old woman was robbed and assaulted in the 4200 block of Woodmere Ave. by an unknown suspect who threatened to hit her with a stick and demanded her money shortly before midnight Saturday. The victim handed over $5, and the suspect hit her anyway. He fled on foot.

* AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- A 30-year-old Pimlico man went to his girlfriend's house at 7 a.m. yesterday to retrieve his Independence card. He told police that the woman, who lives in the 3800 block block of Park Heights Ave., hit him in the head with a brick. The man, who refused medical treatment, received a lump on the back of his head.

* STOLEN AUTO: Western District -- A 1987 Chevrolet sedan was stolen from the 1300 block of Mulberry St. about 9:40 a.m. yesterday.

* DRIVE-BY SHOOTING: Northern District -- A 25-year-old man was shot under the left eye in the 4000 block of Old York Road about 9 p.m. Saturday. Police said several shots were fired from a red Nissan 300 ZX, with one hitting the victim.

* SHOOTING: Central District -- A man shot in the neck about 8:45 p.m. Saturday staggered into a barber shop in the 1000 block of W. North Ave and asked people to call for help. He was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was listed in stable condition. Police said that there was no suspect and that the victim refused to say where he had been shot or by whom.


* BURGLARY/ARRESTS: White Marsh District -- Two Baltimore County men were arrested yesterday about 3:30 a.m. and charged with theft and breaking and entering at the Color Tile Supermart in the 2000 block of E. Joppa Road. Charles Bernard Schatz, 22, of the 8200 block of Peach Orchard Road, and Richard T. Hieronimus, 21, of the 7800 block of Beverly Ave., were charged with attempting to steal telephones and money. They also were charged with break-ins at Color Tile stores in Essex and Cockeysville. They were being held at the White Marsh precinct. No bond had been set.

* BURGLARY: Woodlawn District -- Someone broke into two stores in the 8500 block of Liberty Road between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 7:45 a.m. yesterday and took about $1,300 in cash. The suspect entered a discount store through a roof air vent, dropped onto the floor and broke through a wall to enter a coin-operated laundry next door. There, $750 in business receipts and $500 in laundry receipts were stolen. Police said they have a suspect and have applied for an arrest warrant.
