Maryland rolls by Penn State

WESTMINSTER — COLLEGE PARK -- Sophomore Kelly Amonte tied a school record with 11 total points on five goals and six assists as No. 2 Maryland breezed past No. 8 Penn State, 21-4, yesterday in a women's lacrosse game at Byrd Stadium.

Amonte's five goals tied a personal best and her six assists established a career high. The Terps (10-0) are one of two undefeated teams remaining in Division I.

' Penn State fell to 9-6.

Johns Hopkins 19, Widener 4

Senior Becca Savage scored six goals to lead host Johns Hopkins (14-0) past Widener.

W. Md. 24, Susquehanna 5

WESTMINSTER -- Gina Cappi and Denise Sarver (Fallston) scored six goals each as Western Maryland (11-2) beat Susquehanna (0-7) in a nonconference game.

Anne Arundel 19, Villa Julie 4

Kristy Moltz and Robin Quinton each had three goals and three assists as Anne Arundel CC (9-2) defeated host Villa Julie.
