Odenton woman is charged with possessing paraphernalia

April 29, 1994

A 30-year-old Odenton woman was arrested Tuesday night and charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, county police said.

Roxane Marie Vennik of the 1400 block of Hale St. and a male friend were sitting in a car in the parking lot of the Place Lounge in the 8300 block of Telegraph Road when an officer from the Western District spotted them around 8:15 p.m., police said.

The officer had Ms. Vennik and her friend identify themselves so he could run a check on his computer for possible outstanding warrants.

The results on Ms. Vennik's friend came back negative, but for Ms. Vennik, the records showed two arrest warrants for failure to appear on narcotics violations, police said.

The officer took her into custody.

Police searched her at the station and reported finding a medicine bottle, pipe, rolling papers and two razor blades in her purse.
