Porter's Fields

1. Jeff Puente Construction has completed the first of five custom homes the company will build on 10- to 12-acre lots at Porter's Fields in northern Harford County.

A two-story traditional with 3,000 square feet of finished living space, the home sells for$314,500 on an 11-acre parcel.

Standard features include a 40-by-14-foot deck, 15-by-12 foot library, 22-by-15-foot family room with a wood-burning fireplace and oak hardwood floors throughout the first floor. This level also has a kitchen, living room, dining room and powder room.

Floors in the 15-by-14-foot master bedroom and the three other bedrooms are carpeted. The master bath has a whirlpool tub, separate shower and dual vanities.

In all, there are four full baths with ceramic tile floors.

All Porter's Fields homes will be located well off the main road with scenic country views. Buyers can choose from a variety of styles and amenities.

The model is open by appointment. Take I-695 to Route 146 (exit 27) North to a left on Route 23, to a right on Route 136 and a right on Amoss Mill Road.

2. Ryan Homes has begun pre-construction sales at Oakside in Owings Mills New Town in Baltimore County, where the company will build 149 three-level townhouses.

Ryan's Wyngate series will have 2,100 square feet of finished living space and a base price of $127,750. Buyers can choose a front or rear kitchen.

The 9-by-11-foot kitchen can have a two-foot extension for $1,800 and a cooking top, wall oven and microwave oven for $1,900 to $2,400. The first floor also has a 15-by-18-foot living room, 9-by-15-foot dining room, a powder room and nine-foot ceilings.

Upstairs, the 13-by-13-foot master bedroom has a walk-in closet. The master bath can be enhanced with a soaking tub and separate shower for $1,600 to $1,800. Two more bedrooms and a second full bath are found on this level.

The laundry area is located in the unfinished basement. Basement upgrades include a family room ($3,800), powder room ($1,800), full bath ($2,500), study ($1,200) and fireplace ($3,100 to $3,800).

Gas heat, Andersen-brand windows, General Electric appliances and privacy fencing are other standard features.
