NCAA -- Named William B. DeLauder, president of Delaware State, and Richard E. Peck, president of the University of New Mexico, chairmen of a committee to look into charges that freshman eligibility standards discriminate against minorities.

North Atlantic Conference -- Announced the additions of Hofstra in the 1994-95 academic year and Towson State in 1995-96.

Boston College -- Signed Jim O'Brien, head basketball coach, to a multi-year contract extension.

Arkansas State -- Announced the resignation of Jerry Schaeffer, assistant athletic director and sports information director.

Hofstra -- Named Jay Wright men's basketball coach.

Chicago Bears -- Re-signed DT Tim Ryan to a one-year contract.

Green Bay Packers -- Signed WR Willie Harris.

Minnesota Vikings -- Acquired QB Warren Moon from the Houston Oilers for undisclosed draft choices.

New Orleans Saints -- Signed G Tom Ricketts, LB Andre Brown, WR Hunkie Cooper, NT Jerold Jeffcoat and NT Corey Mayfield.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Signed CB Tony Stargell, who had been with the Indianapolis Colts, to a two-year contract.

British Columbia Lions (CFL) -- Re-signed QB Danny McManus and P-K Lui Passaglia.

Las Vegas Posse (CFL) -- Signed LB Romero Brice and OL John Nee.
