April 13, 1994

A 23-year-old Crofton man was treated at Anne Arundel Medical Center Monday night after being kicked and beaten by three men who had given him a ride, county police said.

Kenneth Lawrence Ramirez of White Stone Court told police that he had been picked up near Annapolis Mall by three men. While on their way to Crofton, the men asked Mr. Ramirez for money, police said. When Mr. Ramirez said he didn't have any, they began beating him.

Mr. Ramirez was dumped near the intersection of Route 424 and U.S. 50 around 11 p.m. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of arm, neck and facial injuries and a possible leg fracture, police said. He was later released.

Police are looking for three white males who were driving a 1974 Chevy Nova SS. The first suspect, possibly in his late 30s, has sandy hair, a small goatee, a thick mustache and thin face. The second suspect, in his late 20s, stands 6-foot-3 and weighs about 160 pounds. He has blond hair, has an earring in his left ear and tattoos on his left arm. The third suspect may be in his late 20s. He has reddish-brown hair, stands 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds.
