CINCINNATI -- Billy Staub went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI as top-ranked Calvert Hall (8-0) defeated Fairfield of Ohio, 5-0, at the Ohio Tournament yesterday. The Cardinals improved to 3-0 with a 14-1 win over Loveland (Ohio), later in the day.

* Westminster 2, North Carroll 1: Steve Mays scored from third on a wild pitch with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, giving Westminster a win over visiting North Carroll, in a Carroll County League game.

* Overlea 10, Towson 0: John Kopajtic pitched a two-hitter, leading Overlea (2-1, 2-1) past visiting Towson (1-1-1, 1-1-1), in a Baltimore County 1A-2A game.

* McDonogh 7, Spalding 1: Mike Ginsberg pitched a complete game one-hitter, leading No. 6 McDonogh past visiting Spalding (0-3, 0-2), in a MIAA A Conference game.

* Owings Mills 13, Milford Mill 3: Brandon McNulty went 2-for-4 with two RBIs as Owings Mills (2-0, 2-0) defeated host Milford Mill, in a Baltimore County 1A-2A game.

* Glenelg 5, South Carroll 0: Sean Lookingbill pitched a four-hitter, leading Glenelg (1-1) past South Carroll (5-3), in a nonleague game.

* Old Mill 4, Meade 1: Ken Pumphrey pitched a one-hitter, leading No. 4 Old Mill past host Meade (1-2, 1-2), in an Anne Arundel 4A game.

* Loch Raven 9, Sparrows Point 6: Jason Longwell broke open a 2-2 tie in the sixth to lead Loch Raven (2-1, 2-1) past Sparrows Point (1-2, 1-2) in a Baltimore County 1A-2A game.

* Mount St. Joseph 9, Gibbons 2: Ryan McGonigal went seven innings, gave up four hits and two runs, and struck out 10 to lead No. 2 Mount St. Joseph (5-3) past visiting Gibbons (0-2) in an MIAA A Conference game.

* Severna Park 12, Annapolis 1: Scott Neuberger went 4-for-5, including a double, a homer and four RBI as visiting Severna Park (2-1, 2-1) defeated Annapolis in an Anne Arundel 4A game.

* Hereford 10, Chesapeake-BC 8: Geoff DeGarmo went 2-for-4, including a triple, and had two RBIs as host Hereford (2-1, 2-1) downed Chesapeake-BC (1-2, 1-2) in a Baltimore County 1A-2A game.

* Southern-Balto. 9, Edmondson 3: Bill Thomas went 3-for-5 with three RBIs as Southern-Baltimore (2-3, 2-0) defeated host Edmondson (0-3, 0-3), in a Baltimore City 4A game.

* Dundalk 10, Patapsco 5: Tylan Baylor went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, leading Dundalk (2-0) past Patapsco (0-2-1), in a Baltimore County 3A-4A League game.

* C.M. Wright 9, Bel Air 2: Jeff Schwartz pitched a seven-hitter, leading host C. M. Wright (5-0) past Bel Air (1-2), in a Harford County League game.
