ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man walking in the 700 block of Exeter Hall Ave. about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday was robbed of $441 by a man who came up behind him, placed a hard object in his back and demanded money.

ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police arrested a suspect in the Tuesday robbery of a man in the 4200 block of St. Georges Ave. Tuesday. The victim was robbed at gunpoint of $6 in cash about 2:20 a.m.

ATTEMPTED BREAKING AND ENTERING: Northern District -- A man kicked open the rear basement door of a home in the 3100 block of Remington Ave. about 4:35 a.m. Tuesday but took no property. Police said the resident of the dwelling knows the suspect.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A thief or thieves broke into a dwelling in the 2500 block of Wilkins Ave. around 2:25 Tuesday morning and stole property valued at $120.

ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT: Southwestern District -- Someone broke open the window of a 1988 Honda parked in the 1600 block of S. Ellamont St. sometime between 10:30 p.m. Monday and 6:15 a.m. Tuesday and tampered with the ignition. Police said the car did not start.

AUTO THEFT: Southwestern District -- A 1994 Honda Accord with dealer tag 918155 was stolen from the 4600 block of Edmondson Ave. sometime between 4 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Baltimore County

ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- A man fought with a gunman who attempted to rob him in the 5300 block of Old Court Road shortly before 10:30 Tuesday night. The suspect fled on foot.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY/BREAKING AND ENTERING: White Marsh District -- A man broke into the manager's office at the Davis Motel in the 8300 block of Pulaski Highway about 7:25 Tuesday evening and beat him up. Police said the manager suffered only minor injuries.
