Sykesville OK's $10,000 transfer for snow's costs

March 31, 1994

The Sykesville Town Council has approved a $10,000 transfer from its contingency fund to pay $700 in overtime for snow removal and $9,300 for salt and sand.

"We have had a contingency line in the budget for several years for what we can't plan in advance," said Mayor Kenneth W. Clark at the council meeting Monday.

The money will cover "shortfalls to this point" in the public works account, said Clerk Treasurer Vincent Diffenbaugh.
