USA Basketball -- Announced that Shaquille O'Neal of the Orlando Magic and Reggie Miller of the Indiana Pacers will be the final two players on Dream Team II, which will represent the United States in the World Basketball Championships this summer in Toronto.

Ball State -- Named Ron Kiolbassa and Levern Belin assistant football coaches.

College of Charleston -- Signed basketball coach John Kresse to 10-year contract.

Eastern Connecticut State -- Named Matt Paton women's soccer coach.

Fairleigh Dickinson -- Announced the resignation of women's assistant basketball coach Theresa Hrubash.

Findlay -- Fired women's basketball and softball coach Sheryl Neff.

Maryland -- Suspended QB Scott Milanovich (279-for-431 for 3,499 yards and 26 touchdowns in 1993) for two weeks for violating team rules.

Navy -- Announced that women's basketball coach Debra Schlegel has resigned.

New Mexico -- Faculty members approved a non-binding proposal to abolish intercollegiate sports at the school.

Pittsburgh -- Named Ralph Willard basketball coach and announced he has agreed to a five-year contract.

St. Mary's -- Announced that basketball coach Bob Valvano has been named assistant athletic director for media relations and that he will keep his basketball position. Announced that lacrosse coach and assistant athletic director Jason Hurley has been named associate athletic director.

Southeastern Louisiana -- Announced the resignation of basketball coach Norman Picou so he can take an assistant coaching position at Southern University.

Wayne State, Neb. -- Named Greg McDermott basketball coach.

F: Yale -- Named Bob Shoop interim defensive coordinator.

Football

Atlanta Falcons -- Signed free agent DE Huey Richardson.

Dallas Cowboys -- Coach Jimmy Johnson announced his resignation.

Kansas City Chiefs -- Re-signed unrestricted free agent DT Joe Phillips to a four-year contract. Released LB Santo Stephens and DB Robert Williams.

New York Jets -- Named Doug Miller community affairs manager.

Philadelphia Eagles -- Re-signed restricted free agent TE Maurice Johnson to a two-year contract.
