Two arrests on drug charges within six weeks ended with a Westminster couple in the county detention center after a raid at their apartment in the 300 block of E. Main St. Friday.

Craig C. Maize, 32, and his wife Jacqueline, 31, were arrested by the Carroll County Narcotics Task Force in each of the raids, officials said. Each was released on $10,000 bond Monday.

Investigators said both suspects were charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance at their apartment.

Jacqueline Maize also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said they seized four bags of marijuana, plus seeds and stems of marijuana, rolling papers and a bong in the apartment during the 7:45 p.m. raid.

In February, narcotics officers found marijuana in the apartment and recovered two scales, a water pipe and small plastic bags.

The couple was charged then with two counts of manufacturing, distribution and dispensing of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Three other men, who were in the apartment at the time of the February raid, were also charged with possession of marijuana.
