Dr. Jeremy Hallisey


Dr. Jeremy D. Hallisey, an anesthesiologist who practiced at Mercy Medical Center, died Monday of cancer at his home in Arnold. He was 43.

He had been associated with Mercy since 1990 and was a member of Mercy Anesthesiologists Associates, a group practice. Earlier, he practiced in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and at the University of Maryland Hospital from 1980 to 1981.

ZTC He was born in Hassocks, Sussex, England, and educated at St. Augustine's College, the Cambridge College of Arts and Technology and the Charing Cross Hospital Medical School. He earned his medical degrees in 1974 from the University of London.

After his internship, he was an emergency room physician in Nassau, Bahamas, then a resident in anesthesiology at the University of Maryland in 1976. He returned to England in 1978 for more study.

A memorial service was planned for 11 a.m. today at Mercy Medical Center, 301 St. Paul St., Baltimore.

Survivors include his wife, the former Rhonda Scallio; a son, Gregory J. Hallisey of Arnold; two brothers, Christopher Hallisey of Huntingdon, England, and Michael Hallisey of Ealing, England; a sister, Maura Bertram of Edinburgh, Scotland; and his parents, Denis and Beryl Hallisey of St. Ives, England.
