Orioles -- Released IF Terry Jorgensen. Optioned P Brian DuBois to Triple-A Rochester.

Cincinnati Reds -- Placed P Steve Foster on the 15-day DL. Optioned P Scott Service and P Ross Powell to Triple-A Indianapolis. Sent IF Casey Candaele and P Ken Patterson to minor-league camp for reassignment.

Cleveland Indians -- Acquired SS Enrique Wilson from the Minnesota Twins to complete an earlier trade.

Florida Marlins -- Optioned OF Darrell Whitmore, OF Carl Everett, OF Nigel Wilson and C Greg O'Halloran to Triple-A Edmonton. Sent P Yorkis Perez, P Terry Mathews, P Jim Corsi, C Steve Decker, C Mitch Lyden and OF Scott Pose to minor-league camp for reassignment. Announced that Pose refused the assignment and became a free agent.

Houston Astros -- Placed OF Braulio Castillo on the restricted list for failing to report to training camp.

CBA -- Announced that Oklahoma City F Leonard Harris has been suspended for failure to abide by the league's substance abuse policy.

Alabama-Huntsville -- Named Bill Peterson men's basketball coach.

Indiana State -- Named Sherman Dillard men's basketball coach.

Louisiana State -- Announced that G Jamie Brandon will forgo his final year of eligibility to make himself available for the NBA draft.

North Texas -- Named Bill Michael defensive coordinator; Steve Kragthorpe offensive coordinator; Bob Schultz receivers coach; and Eric Russell restricted earnings coach.

Football

Arizona Cardinals -- Agreed to terms with LB Eric Hill on a one-year contract.

Indianapolis Colts -- Traded QB Jeff George to the Falcons for Atlanta's first-round draft choice in 1994, a third-round choice in 1994 and a first- or second-round choice in 1996.

New Orleans Saints -- Signed C Joe Garten, G Willie Williams, G Baron Rollins and DE Daryl Milburn.

San Diego Chargers -- Announced that they will not match the offer sheet given by the Denver Broncos to WR Anthony Miller. Acquired WR Tony Martin from the Miami Dolphins for an undisclosed 1994 draft choice. Signed unrestricted free-agent WR Vance Johnson, who had been with the Broncos, to a two-year contract. Signed unrestricted free-agent LB David Griggs, who had been with the Dolphins, to a two-year contract. Signed WR Chris Thomas and P Sean Snyder.

San Francisco 49ers -- Signed free-agent LB Gary Plummer to a two-year, $1.8 million contract. Released LB Keith DeLong.

Las Vegas Posse (CFL) -- Signed RB Joey Mickles and OL Jim Pesek.
