POLICE

* Westminster: A Hampstead resident told police that someone stole his 1990 Dodge Caravan from the lot of Staley's Body Shop on Greenwood Avenue on Thursday. The victim estimated the loss at $8,500.

Someone broke a rear vent window of a car parked on the lot of Staley's Body Shop on Thursday. The owner, an Ellicott City resident, estimated the damage at $267.

An official of Duke's Car Wash on Railroad Avenue reported that someone damaged equipment at the carwash Thursday. The damage was estimated at $200.

A resident of Rolling Ridge Drive told police that someone stole items from his car while it was on Greenwood Avenue on Thursday. The loss was estimated at $50.

FIRE

* Finksburg: Gamber responded for an investigation in the 3000 block of Gamber Road at 4:36 p.m. Friday. Units were out for 24 minutes.

* Westminster: Westminster, Reese, Pleasant Valley and Manchester responded to a gas leak in the 100 block of S. Center St. at 2:24 p.m. Friday. Most units were released within about 20 minutes, but one engine remained at the scene for more than an hour.
