Workers honored for efforts in storms

March 18, 1994

Sykesville has issued a proclamation recognizing town employees who "performed above and beyond the call of duty during the winter of 1994 snow and ice storms."

Each employee of the Public Works and Police departments will receive a copy of the certificate, signed by the mayor and Town Council and dated March 14.

"Our employees did a fine job," said Mayor Kenneth W. Clark. "You can tell just how well they did when you are driving in Howard and Montgomery counties. We heard 'thanks' from a lot of town residents."
