Man charged with drug possession

An Odenton man was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine after officers searched his home Wednesday night and found the suspected drug, police said.

Officers said they searched the home in the 500 block of King Malcolm Ave. at 11:30 p.m. and found a quarter-ounce of cocaine and some marijuana. William Grimes, 44, who lived in the home, was taken to Western District to be charged.

Police confiscated $3,813 in cash and a late-model Mitsubishi.

* Odenton: Saint John AME Church in the 2900 block of Conway Road was broken into between 2 p.m. Sunday and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burglars kicked in a side door but did not take anything, police said.

* Laurel: Two handguns were stolen from a home in the 300 block of Old Line Road Monday.
