Police seeking driver of car involved in hit-and-run death

March 14, 1994

City police were seeking the driver of a car that struck and fatally injured a 43-year-old Baltimore man early yesterday in the 1600 block of Gwynn Falls Parkway.

Lamont Davis, of the 2800 block of Parkwood Ave., was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 1 a.m.

Witnesses said the victim was struck by a silver 1989 Nissan Maxima, which was found hours later in the 3800 block of Greenspring Ave.

The car, said traffic Officer Tony Petralia, was found about three blocks from the owner's home.

After talking to the owner, police learned the name of a relative who was said to have been driving the car at the time of the accident.
