Morehead State -- Announced that football coach Cole Proctor has been reassigned for the duration of his contract, which expires in December.

Nebraska-Omaha -- Announced the resignation of men's basketball coach Bob Hanson.

San Diego State -- Suspended OL Kyle Turley, OL Dan Nilsen, OL Matt Roe and OL Mark Roe from all football team activities and the use of football-related facilities for four to six weeks after they were arrested for investigation of conspiracy to commit battery and vandalism last weekend.


Chicago Bears -- Signed FB Merril Hoge to a three-year contract.

Denver Broncos -- Signed WR Tim Brown to an offer sheet.

FTC Detroit Lions -- Re-signed WR Brett Perriman to a three-year contract.

Aqueduct -- Stewards suspended trainer Patrick Reynolds 60 days because two of his horses flunked post-race drug tests last fall.

New York Racing and Wagering Board -- Agreed to allow Buffalo Raceway to take over the spring harness racing season from Batavia Downs, whose license to operate was suspended this week because of a contract dispute with horsemen.


Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games -- Named Richard Stogner deputy chief financial officer.


NPSL -- Suspended and fined Wichita Wings F Chico Borja for one game for his conduct toward an official during Sunday's game; St. Louis Ambush G Jeff Robben for two games for unnecessary play during Sunday's game; and Dayton Dynamo F Brad Smith one game for his conduct during a game March 4.


ATP Tour -- Named Larry Scott CEO and Michael Duff executive VP of the International Group, effective May 1.
