* BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Two VCRs, valued at $800, were stolen from a house in the 6000 block of Loch Raven Boulevard Wednesday by someone who entered through a basement window.

* ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3400 block of Elmora Ave. was in the 5200 block of Parkside Drive Wednesday when he was attacked by several youths who robbed him of his coat, valued at nearly $150.

* ROBBERY/SHOOTING: Western District -- An out-of-town resident was in the 500 block of N. Mount St. Wednesday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of his property. Before fleeing, the gunman shot the man in the left arm. The victim was treated at an area hospital.

* ROBBERY/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man who robbed a resident of the 2100 block of Callow Ave. of $5 in the 1200 block of W. North Ave. Wednesday. The victim's money was recovered.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Police were seeking a 35-year-old man who entered Louis Soft Style Salon in the 1300 block of W. North Ave. Tuesday or Wednesday and stole four curling irons, an adapter, nail polish and makeup, all valued at more than $1,800.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 900 block of N. Franklintown Road was in the 2800 block of Edmondson Ave. Tuesday when four men threw sticks and bottles at him before robbing him of his tennis shoes valued at $25.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered the 25th Street Cleaners in the 400 block of E. 25th St. by removing a section of exterior wall with a screwdriver and hammer Tuesday or Wednesday and stole cash and property, valued at $300.

* BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Jewelry, appliances and cash, all valued at more than $2,500, were stolen from a house in the 5000 block of Corley Road between Monday and Wednesday by someone who entered through the front door.


* STOLEN CAR: Towson District -- While the owner of a 1975 Ford Granada with Maryland tags ZVR738 was making a phone call at the Royal Farms store at Joppa and Thornton roads Wednesday, his car, parked nearby with its engine running, was stolen.
