U.N. troops will hang up their flak jackets and helmets in SARAJEVO and battle local soccer players in an outdoor game March 20 to celebrate the success of a month-old ceasefire that has made the match possible. Several matches have been held indoors in recent months, with the U.N. always losing.

Though Bosnian Serbs have scaled back offensives elsewhere, they appear intent on taking the MAGLAJ area to help secure a corridor linking their holdings in northeastern and northwestern Bosnia. Maglaj has received only two aid convoys in eight months, the last one in October. Yesterday the Serbs again blocked the latest attempt.
