The Doves claimed their second consecutive regional championship by routing Walbrook, 77-49, in a Class 4A North Region semifinal on RRTC Thursday and beating No. 5 Lake Clifton, 67-47, in the final on Friday. Kimberly Smith had a triple double (23 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) against Walbrook and scored 22 vs. Lake Clifton. Next game: Thursday vs. Oxon Hill in a Class 4A state semifinal at UMBC.

3 St. Frances (24-3, 179) -- Last week's ranking: 4. The Panthers avenged two losses during the regular season by defeating No. 4 St. Mary's, 61-47, in the Catholic League Tournament championship game on Monday. Melba Chambers scored 20. Next game: Season over.

4 St. Mary's (25-3, 168) -- Last week's ranking: 3. The Saints' bid for a third consecutive Catholic League Tournament title ended with a 61-47 loss to No. 3 St. Frances in the championship game on Monday. Tara Foran (23 points) and Annetta Davis (22) accounted for all but two of the Saints' points. Next game: Season over.

5 Lake Clifton (17-3, 152) -- Last week's ranking: 5. The Lakers defeated Patterson, 45-33, in a Class 4A North Region semifinal on Thursday. Friday, Lake Clifton lost to No. 2 Western for the third time this season, 67-47, in the final. Next game: Season over.

The Cougars return to the state semifinals for the third straight year after defeating Catonsville, 72-32, in a Class 2A North Region semifinal on Friday and No. 7 Towson, 48-39, in the final on Saturday. 7 Towson (20-1, 131) -- Last week's ranking: 7. The Generals routed Loch Raven, 83-54, in a Class 2A North Region semifinal on Friday. In a battle of the area's only unbeaten teams on Saturday, Towson lost to No. 6 Fallston, 48-39, in the final. Next game: Season over.

8 Annapolis (19-6, 123) -- Last week's ranking: 12. The Panthers earned their first appearance in the state semifinals since 1982 by defeating: No. 15 Arundel, 62-49, in a Class 4A East Region first-round game on Monday; No. 11 Old Mill, 49-46, in the semifinals on Thursday; and No. 14 Severna Park, 50-41, in the final on Friday. 9 Randallstown (20-2, 121) -- Last week's ranking: 10. Nyota Mitchell returned after a one-game absence due to an ankle injury to score a combined 53 points, as the Rams defeated Patapsco, 62-46, in a Class 3A North Region semifinal on Friday and C. Milton Wright, 67-48, in Saturday's final. This is Randallstown's first trip to the state semifinals. Next game: Thursday vs. No. 17 Howard in a Class 3A state semifinal at UMBC.

11 Old Mill (19-4, 99) -- Last week's ranking: 9. The Patriots' quest for a fourth state title ended with a 49-46 loss to No. 8 Annapolis in a Class 4A East Region semifinal on Thursday. Old Mill had defeated Annapolis in both regular-season meetings. Next game: Season over.
