Young voices from Odenton fill the air

More than three dozen Odenton Elementary School pupils lifted their voices in song Thursday to help celebrate Music in Our Schools Month.

The kick-off was the PBS broadcast of the 10th annual World's Largest Concert, a 30-minute sing-along.

These fifth-graders participated in the concert: Jessica Agorsor, Timmy Ale, Jeffrey Bell, Ryan Bosley, James Brannon, Bianc Burgess, Kevin Campbell, Mark Critchlow, Samantha Cummings, Erin Douglas, Chris Foor, Melissa George, Mary Gill, Katrina Hagan, James Haupt, John Hoose, Carol Jackson, Neelum Khattak, Sara Kriger and Krystal Lemon.

Also, Kelly Matthews, Michael McGee, Brandy Mitchell, Tracy Pucci, Jennifer Reid, Laura Rose, Danielle Rush, John Russ, Brandy Sawyer, Lindsey Sawyer, Amy Scholes, April Shrewsbury, Allana Steele, Aaron Surgeon, Darrell Vines, Candace Williams, Kimberly Wiscott and Crystal Wooster.


Cub Scout Pack 663 honored its members and leaders recently at the annual Blue and Gold banquet.

The Scouts, their families and friends enjoyed a chicken dinner prepared by the American Legion Post 276 Ladies Auxiliary. Cubmaster Linda Fonteneau presented awards and advancements to more than two dozen scouts.

Eric Huff from Weblos Den 2 was honored for being the Pack's top salesman during the annual popcorn fund raiser.

At the end of the evening, parents and scouts honored Fonteneau for her tireless efforts as cubmaster.
