Towson State beats Villanova, 20-8

PHIADELPHIA — PHILADELPHIA -- Freshman Dudley Dixon had four goals and an assist as Towson State opened its season with a 20-8 victory over Villanova yesterday. Another freshman, Sean Ryan (Calvert Hall), added two goals and two assists.

Towson, which won 22 of 33 faceoffs against the Wildcats (0-2), took a 6-3 first-period lead and expanded it to 10-5 by halftime.
