Randallstown tops Patapsco, 62-46

Nyota Mitchell scored 23 and grabbed 11 rebounds last night to lead Randallstown (20-2) past Patapsco, 62-46, in a Class 3A North Region semifinal game.

Mitchell, the area's leading scorer, apparently had broken her ankle before the Baltimore County title game last week and was thought to be out for the season. The senior forward returned after two days of therapy and one missed game.

The Rams play host to C. Milton Wright in the regional final today at 5 p.m.

* C.Milton Wright 39, Franklin 37: Sophomore Erin Updegrove scored 22 points to lead third-seeded C. M. Wright over second-seeded Franklin in a 3A North Region semifinal.

* Fallston 72, Catonsville 32: Suzy Harrison scored 11 points to lead No. 8 and host Fallston (20-0) past Catonsville in a Class 2A North Region semifinal game. Fallston will play host to Towson in the regional final today at 7 p.m.

* Hereford 37, Bohemia Manor 32: Melinda Sawyer scored 16 and added six rebounds as second-seeded Hereford (12-6) defeated sixth-seeded Bohemia Manor in a Class 1A North Region semifinal game. Hereford plays at No. 20 and top-seeded Joppatowne today at 5 p.m.

* Joppatowne 56, Milford Mill 32: Senior Santae Boyd scored 28 and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Joppatowne over Milford Mill in a Class 1A North Region semifinal.

* Catoctin 60, Wilde Lake 45: Catoctin ran out to a 31-17 halftime lead and held off Wilde Lake in a Class 1A South Region semifinal.
