Not to be missed tonight: a new episode of "Picket Fences," starring Louis Gossett Jr.

* "Washington Week in Review" (8 p.m.-8:30 p.m., WMPT, Channels 22 and 67) -- This is the farewell to an era for fans of this series, which tonight says farewell to Paul Duke. And viewers won't be the only ones saying goodbye: In taped pieces, others offering their best to Mr. Duke include Dan Rather, Tim Russert, Robert MacNeil and Jim Lehrer, the entire "This Week With David Brinkley" cabal, and some well-connected guy named Clinton. PBS.

* "Burke's Law" (9 p.m.-10 p.m., WBAL, Channel 11) -- Another guest cast that's fun to enumerate: John Astin of "The Addams Family," Melissa Sue Anderson of "Little House on the Prairie," Tom Bosley of "Happy Days," Audrey Meadows of "The Honeymooners," as well as Mark Hamill, Roddy McDowall, Dom DeLuise and Bill Irwin. CBS.

* "The X-Files" (9 p.m.-10 p.m., WBFF, Channel 45) -- A creepy repeat: A young woman thinks she's being shadowed, literally, by some dark and unknown ethereal form. Fox repeat.

* "20/20" (10 p.m.-11 p.m., WJZ, Channel 13) -- You want scandal? "20/20" has a double dose this week. One interview subject is Sen. Bob Packwood, accused of sexual harassment. Another is Lorena Bobbitt, accused of sexual mutilation. Too bad these interviews were taped at different times. It would have made for some very interesting conversation in the Green Room. ABC.

* "Picket Fences" (10 p.m.-11 p.m., WBAL, Channel 11) -- Louis Gossett Jr. visits Rome, Wis., portraying Brock's former partner -- who, on this return visit, has a very sinister reunion planned, and kidnaps Brock's daughter, Kimberly (Holly Marie Combs), to torment Brock (Tom Skerritt). CBS.Cable

* "H.O.T.S." (1 a.m.-3 a.m., USA) -- D.U.M.B.
