Three Maryland players, including All-American candidate Bonnie Rimkus, and former Baltimore Sun girls Player of the Year Kisha Ford, were selected to the Atlantic Coast Conference women's basketball all-league teams, announced yesterday by the conference.

Rimkus, who finished second in scoring and rebounding, was named to the ACC's first team, and was joined by Clemson senior Jessica Barr, the league's scoring champion and Player of the Year; Virginia sophomore Wendy Palmer; and senior Tonya Sampson and junior Charlotte Smith, both of North Carolina.

Maryland senior Michele Andrew, Florida State senior Christy Derlak, Duke junior Carey Kauffman, Wake Forest senior Nicole Levesque and Virginia freshman Tora Suber were selected to the second team, in voting conducted among the nine ACC coaches.

Ford (Bryn Mawr), who attends Georgia Tech, was the leading freshman scorer (16.0) and rebounder (8.7) in the ACC and is joined on the all-freshman team by Suber, who was named Rookie of the Year; Maryland's Lillian Purvis; North Carolina's Marion Jones; and Jennifer Howard of North Carolina State.
