POLICE

* Manchester: A Manchester resident told state police that someone stole a stereo system from his unlocked 1990 Chevrolet pickup truck Saturday while it was parked in the 2900 block of Holland Drive. He estimated the value of the stereo, amplifier and speakers at $825.

FIRE

* Hampstead: Hampstead, Manchester and Arcadia of Baltimore County responded for a building fire in the 900 block of S. Main St. in Hampstead at 9:26 p.m. Sunday. Units were out 20 minutes.

* Lineboro: Lineboro assisted York County, Pa., at a four-alarm building fire in downtown Hanover at 6:04 a.m. Monday. The fire started in an empty industrial building about 3 a.m. The Lineboro equipment was out for about six hours.

A chimney fire in a house in the 600 block of Blackrock Road brought units from Lineboro, Manchester and Hampstead at 6:51 p.m. Sunday. Two engines, the air unit and an ambulance from Lineboro responded.

An additional engine from Manchester was dispatched to Lineboro to fill in while the Lineboro company was at the fire scene.

One engine from Arcadia was transferred to Hampstead and one from Hampstead was sent to Manchester. Firefighters were busy at the fire for 90 minutes.
