ARREST: Southern District -- A man suspected of robbing an Ellicott City bank on January 25 was arrested without incident Tuesday by city police at a friend's house in the 2400 block of Maisel Court in Westport. Charged in a federal warrant with bank robbery and held by the FBI pending a bail hearing today in U.S. District Court is Henry Darnell Johnson Jr., 30, of the 2400 block of S. Paca St. Mr. Johnson was identified after a bank surveillance photo appeared in the Baltimore Sun and on local TV stations. The FBI said the man is suspected of committing as many as 10 bank robberies in the Baltimore metro area since January.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a garage in the 2000 block of Bryant Ave. between Saturday and Tuesday and stole various types of hand and power tools.

ASSAULT: Western District -- A resident of the 1600 block of Thomas Ave. was walking in the 2500 block of Baker St. Tuesday when several men exited a burgundy 1984 Chevrolet and forced him into his house at gunpoint. Inside the house, the gunman fired several shots at the victim, who escaped uninjured.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 7300 block of Mallory Court was in the 1500 block of W. Fayette St. Tuesday when a man she knows struck her in the face and robbed her of $18.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police were seeking a woman who robbed a resident of the 2400 block of Ridgely St. of $7 at gunpoint in the first block of N. Payson St. Tuesday.

ROBBERY: Northern District --Two men robbed a resident of the 3000 block of N. Charles St. of his watch and money in the 3200 block of N. Charles St. Tuesday.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY/SHOOTING: White Marsh District -- An employee of Jimmy D's pizza in the 5900 block of Radecke Ave. was shot while delivering food in the 6000 block of Framingham Road Wednesday evening. After the 57-year-old man man knocked on an apartment door around 11 p.m., several men appeared from behind and robbed the man of an undisclosed sum of money. Before the robbers fled, one of them shot the man in the left leg. The victim was taken to the Francis Scott Key Medical Center.
