Junior forward Tameka Harrison scored 16 to lead No. 1 Hammond (17-1, 11-0) to a 68-42 win over host Howard (9-11, 5-7) in a Howard County League girls game. Rene Hines added 14 for the Bears.

Howard seniors Mona Jackson and Emily Moore contributed 11 each.

* Mt. Hebron 74, Centennial 34: Emily Yanero with 21 led No. 6 Mount Hebron(13-6, 10-1) past host Centennial (2-18, 0-12) in a Howard County League game. The Vikings' Rachel Cimmier added 16.

Meredith Price led Centennial with six.

* Wilde Lake 65, Atholton 49: Kristen Riismandel had 18 points to lead Wilde Lake (5-7, 9-10) over host Atholton (2-10, 6-14) in a Howard County league game.

Boys basketball

* Howard 87, Hammond 74: Senior Javier Machaux scored 24 to lead host Howard (8-12, 5-8) past Hammond (6-12, 4-7) in a Howard County League game. Senior Aaron Graf added 19 for Howard.

* Glenelg 61, Oakland Mills 55: Junior guard Earl Frazier registered 18 to lift Glenelg (14-6, 8-4) over visiting Oakland Mills (4-14, 1-10) in a Howard County League game.
