2nd work session on budget tomorrow

The Columbia Council will have its second work session on the Columbia Association's proposed fiscal 1995 budget at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Columbia Association Building.

The association has proposed a $31.8 million operating budget and $5.8 million capital budget for the fiscal year that begins May 1. The council is the board of directors for the association, which manages Columbia's recreational facilities, community programs and open space areas.

Adoption of the budget is scheduled for Monday but could take place Tuesday if more review is necessary.

The Columbia Association Building is at 10221 Wincopin Circle.

POLICE LOG

* Long Reach: 6000 block of Foreland Garth: A man in a gray, hooded sweat shirt snatched a woman's purse as she left the Signet Bank in the Long Reach Village Center Friday night. The suspect was last seen running into the woods near Route 175, police said.

* Kings Contrivance: 10400 block of Old Columbia Road: Furniture and a television set were taken from a bin at USA Storage Sunday. Police said there were no signs of forced entry.
