Police seeking information on store robbery

Howard County police are investigating the armed robbery of a Jessup liquor store Sunday in which two men forced the last employee back inside the establishment and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

About 5:50 p.m. Sunday, the clerk was leaving Mel's Liquors, in the 7900 block of Route 175, and was locking the front door when two men approached him from behind and pushed him back inside, police said.

The men, one armed, allegedly ordered the victim to hand over cash, and fled after he did.They were last seen driving east on Route 175 in a small green car. The employee was not injured, police said.
