Ohashiatsu founder to be at book signing

Hazel Chung, a certified Ohashiatsu instructor, will sponsor a book signing at her newly opened Ohashiatsu-Maryland Studio.

Author, lecturer and teacher Wataru Ohashi will sign his book "Reading the Body," from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. March 3.

The book emphasizes how to read one's body to discover one's physical, mental and spiritual condition.

Ohashi is the originator of Ohashiatsu, a technique he developed from traditional Eastern philosophy that all elements of nature are in balance and that humankind posses the potential for that same balance.

Some of his clients include Liza Minelli and Henry Kissinger.

On March 4-6, the center will offer an Oriental Diagnosis Weekend Workshop given by Mr. Ohashi.

The course is geared to counselors, chiropractors, psychologists, nurses and other allied health professionals, to learn the secrets to reading the body and enhancing their helping skills.

Lay people can discover how to discern aspects of their own health and learn strategies for coping with stress and fatigue.

The studio is located at 8659 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City. Information: 313-8501.
