Girl, 7, injured in crash

February 21, 1994

A 7-year-old Baltimore County girl was critically injured yesterday when the car in which she was riding skidded in a pool of water on a Glen Arm street and struck a utility pole, police said.

Mary Eileen Sheridan, 36, of the first block of Rodger Valley Court in Cromwell Station, was driving the car, a Suzuki Samurai, south on Glen Arm Road about 12:30 p.m. when it went through water about 1 1/2 inches deep at Notchcliff Road, slid into a field and hit the utility pole.

Her daughter, Megan Sheridan, 7, who was thrown from the back seat to the front of the car by the impact, was listed in critical condition last night at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center.

Mrs. Sheridan was listed in fair condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
