LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. -- Rider College rebounded from a sluggish start to hand Mount St. Mary's a 79-58 Northeast Conference defeat yesterday.

The Broncs (17-7, 13-2), winners of seven in a row and 10 of their past 11, have averaged a lead of 17 points midway through the first half in their past three wins.

Mount St. Mary's (12-12, 8-8), however, got off to the fast start, building as much as a 13-point lead in the first half.

Mount St. Mary's held a 32-19 lead with 6:15 left, and the Mountaineers maintained the lead when Riley Inge's basket at ++ 3:20 gave them a 38-25 advantage.

But Rider ended the half with a 6-2 run that grew into a 31-8 streak through the opening 11 minutes of the second half.

Chris McGuthrie led the Mount with 14 points, all but four in the first half, and Inge finished with 10.
