Three injured, one critically, in accident

February 18, 1994

Three people were injured -- one critically -- Wednesday night when a Ford Escort skidded on ice and collided with a Ford pickup truck at Dorsey Road and Locust Drive, county police said.

Christopher James Blessing of Baltimore, the Escort's driver, was in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center last night with head and torso injuries. His passenger, Joanna Yael Epstein of Cockeysville, and the truck's driver, Dennis James Connell of Dorshire Court in Pasadena, were treated at North Arundel Hospital.

The accident occurred about 10:30 p.m. as Mr. Blessing, 25, and Ms. Epstein, 23, were traveling east on Dorsey Road. They had passed Locust Drive when their car began skidding, spun around and crossed into the path of the oncoming pickup truck driven by Mr. Connell, 41.
