Indoor soccer

* Under-16 girls -- The Severna Park Soccer Association Kickers improved their record to 8-0 with a 15-5 win over the St. Mary's Saints last Thursday at Myers Pavilion.

Tracy Mrazeck (North County) led the way with eight goals, one assist and three saves. Teammate Chrissy Kohlhepp of Chesapeake added three goals and two assists. Jen Mook (Old Mill), Laura Basil (Chesapeake), Missy Silver (Chesapeake) and Tara Theis (Northeast) each tallied one goal and one assist. Silver also was credited with four saves.

* Under-19 girls -- The Severna Park Kickers downed the Columbia Control, 4-2, last Sunday at Du Burns Arena in Baltimore. The weekend before, the Kickers edged Helles Belles, 7-6, at Du Burns.

Tracy Mrazeck led the way in the win over Helles Belles with six goals and one assist. Rounding out the scoring for Severna Park was Broadneck's Stephanie Dull, who finished with a goal and an assist.

Mrazeck had all four goals in the Kickers' victory over Columbia. Also scoring were Sarah Meehan (Old Mill) and Bethanne Houck (Severna Park).

Youth basketball 10-12 girls -- The Cape St. Claire (4-1) came from behind to defeat GARCI Gold, 23-22, last Saturday.

After trailing 8-0 at the end of the first quarter, the Cape roared back in the final period and won the game at the foul line when Kristen Gough converted both ends of a one-and-one.

Suzie Shuttleworth scored eight points and pulled down eight rebounds. Kim Barr added six points and five rebounds for Cape St. Claire and Jessica Pasterak chipped in four points.

Gough and Beth Ware each finished with two points and M. J. Pruner scored one point and had eight rebounds.

Gymnastics

Three Anne Arundel County gymnasts representing Top Flight Gymnastics of Columbia recently competed at the ACPR Fantasy Invitational.

In the Level 6 competition, Cathy Schnell of Annapolis placed in all events. She took first on floor (9.1), second on beam (9.4), third on uneven bars (8.9), 10th on the vault (8.25) and third all-around with 35.65.

Top Flight's Level 7 team won the team competition with a combined score of 108.0. It was the third time this season Top Flight's Level 7 squad has won the team trophy.

County residents contributing to the victory were Elizabeth Kosmides of Annapolis and Kim Jewell of Glen Burnie. Kosmides finished first on vault (9.0), bars (9.3) and beam (8.75) and was the all-around champion with 36.2 points.

Jewell placed first on floor (9.2), second on bars (9.25) and beam (8.75), third on vault (8.8) and was runner-up in the all-around with 36.0.
