Worker injured in fall from roof

A construction worker was severely injured yesterday afternoon when he slipped and fell 40 feet from the unfinished roof of a home in Kings Contrivance.

Chris Knott, 23, of the 100 block of Forest Dale Ave. in Baltimore County, was taken by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. He was listed in serious but stable condition last night.

Fire and rescue officials said Mr. Knott lost his footing at 1:22 p.m. yesterday while he and other workers installed a roof on a house under construction on Sassafras Court, off Guilford Road.

Mr. Knott sustained injuries to his torso and legs, emergency officials said.

* Oakland Mills: 5800 block of Morningbird Lane: Someone cut the canvas top of a 1992 Jeep Wrangler Friday and took a CB radio and sunglasses, police said.
