Patrick Ngongba's tip-in with one second left gave visiting Mount Hebron (13-4, 5-4) a 71-69 Howard County League win over Oakland Mills (4-10, 1-8) yesterday.
Kurtis Jestes led Mount Hebron with 26 points and Ngongba added 20.
Antoine Barnes scored a game-high 30 points for Oakland Mills.
* Atholton 64, Hammond 60: D. J. Chiles had 21 points as No. 19 Atholton (10-5, 6-3) edged visiting Hammond (6-10, 4-5).
Tony Stewart added 16 for the Raiders.
Irving Conwell and Devon Montoute had 14 each to lead Hammond.
* Glenelg 58, Howard 49: Kevin Curtin scored a game-high 20 to lead Glenelg (12-4, 6-3) past Howard (6-10, 3-6).
The game was moved to Glenelg because of snow accumulation on Howard's gymnasium roof.
Girls basketball
* Hammond 77, Atholton 45: No. 2 Hammond (14-1, 9-0) was led by Kiki Nicholson and Rene Hines with 17 and 15 points, respectively, in a Howard County League victory over host Atholton (1-6, 5-7).
* Glenelg 45, Howard 36: Trish Kilroy, a senior center, scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead No. 19 Glenelg (13-4, 6-2) over visiting Howard (8-9, 3-5).
Kim Brown added 12 points and had two three-pointers for the Gladiators. Emily Moore scored 12 for the Lions.
* Wilde Lake 43, Centennial 17: Natalie Froman had eight points, as Wilde Lake (5-10, 1-6) beat host Centennial (2-12, 0-6).
Forward Adelle Chenier and center Krista Entrop scored six each for the Wildecats.
Michelle Brown led Centennial with five.
