Cleveland Indians -- Designated P Shawn Bryant for assignment.

Detroit Tigers -- Agreed to minor-league contracts with C Lance Parrish and IF Juan Samuel and invited them to major-league camp. Hired George Scherger as a special instructor for spring training.

Houston Astros -- Agreed to terms with OF Luis Gonzalez on a one-year contract for $1.63 million. Invited nonroster P Donne Wall to major-league camp.

Kansas City Royals -- Agreed to terms with IF Curtis Wilkerson on a minor-league contract and invited him to major-league camp.

Los Angeles Dodgers -- Agreed to terms with 3B Henry Blanco and P Felix Rodriguez on one-year contracts.
