Stoffey's 31 lead Loyola to 80-64 win

WASHINGTON — Patty Stoffey scored 31 points, shooting 10 of 15 from the field, leading host Loyola (10-10, 7-2) to an 80-64 victory over Fairfield (12-10, 5-5) in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game yesterday.

Stoffey was 11-for-15 from the free-throw line as Loyola took a 43-34 halftime lead. Camille Joyner added 17 points and eight rebounds for Loyola, and Patty Taylor hit all six of her attempts from the field, adding 13 points.

Goucher 76, Gallaudet 58

WASHINGTON -- Sonya Jones scored 21 points and Di Di Cotton added 16 points and eight rebounds, leading visiting Goucher (12-9, 5-4) past Gallaudet (8-13, 3-6) in a Capital Athletic Conference game.

York 73, St. Mary's 64

ST. MARY'S CITY

ST. MARY'S CITY -- Krista Carvell and Rebecca Capetta each scored 20, leading visiting York (10-10, 7-4) past St. Mary's (5-14, 0-10) in a Capital Athletic Conference game. Cindy Davenport (Old Mill) led St. Mary's with 18 points.

Bowie St. 71, Virginia St. 64

BOWIE

BOWIE -- Yetisha Mackey (Lake Clifton) scored 22 points, including a three-pointer with 1:30 left in the game broke a 64-64 tie, lifting host Bowie State over Virginia State, in a Central Intercollegiate Atheltic Conference game.
